La 76ª edición de los Globos de Oro que concede cada año la Asociación de Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood ha anunciado sus candidaturas. Entre ellas cabe señalar sendas nominaciones para Antonio Banderas y Penélope Cruz, en el ámbito de la televisión.
Antonio Banderas competirá por el Globo de Oro en la categoría la mejor actor en serie limitada o película para elevisión por su papel en ‘Genius: Picasso’. Los contendientes del actor malagueño serán el actor hispano-alemán Daniel Brühl por ‘The Alienist’; Darren Criss, por ‘El asesinato de Gianni Versace’; Benedict Cumberbatch por ‘Patrick Melrose’ y Hugh Grant por ‘A Very English Scandal’
Por su parte, Penélope Cruz compite en el apartado de mejor actriz de reparto de serie limitada o película para televisión por su papel en ‘El asesinato de Gianni Versace’. Sus adversarias en este caso son Alex Borstein por ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’; Patricia Clarkson por ‘Sharp Objects’; Thandie Newton por ‘Westworld’ y Yvonne Strahovski por ‘El cuento de la doncella’.
La película ‘El vicio del poder’ (Green Book) es la logra un mayor número de nominaciones, seis en total.
